Visit to G-ma's House

So our second road trip of the month landed us on a yellow brick road to Grandma's house!  While we went to see our Aunt Liz graduate (see that post here Link to "High School Musical (well Graduation)" post ) we also went to have some fun and spend some time with our aunts, uncle and grandparents.  I think the below smiles tell you just how excited we were to be reunited again:

Grandma, Ju Ju and Wiz had been busy before we got there transforming the house and backyard for Aunt Wiz's high school graduation open house.  There were decorations, lights... and a volleyball net.  I mean, that just led to lots and lots of fun mornings and evenings in the cool weather enjoying the fresh air and each other.  Here are a few shots from one of our nights together:
AJ discovered he likes to play only on Daddy's shoulders so he can block the ball

Girls vs. Boys - we are competitive... do you see Daddy jumping off the ground to block that ball?

While Ju Ju looks concerned, KK had her game face on!

Haha - I love this shot... the game was intense

Wiz and KK taking a break after the fun.  After our fun game outside, we ate burgers and hot dogs outside as we watched the sunset.  Then KK and Grandpa went on a long scooter ride (one of many, they were touring the area, KK must have gone a few miles by the end of our trip, she was loving the paths and open space to scoot on).  AJ and Daddy decided to bring out the baseball gloves.
AJ trying to explain to Daddy how this "catch" game is played (aka put it in my glove Daddy so I can catch it).

A pitcher just like his Daddy?  Nice form baby!

Six months prego and somehow this boy convinced me to play a round of volleyball "daddy style" with KK, Ju and Wiz... I'm pretty sure our team lost since I just stood there :-)

Once the stars came out, the lights were turned on and Grandma cranked up the country music for some good old fashioned line dancing on the porch.  They all have some moves!!!  The kids were loving it!  KK danced until she had to be carried to bath and bed.

Needless to say, after that night, the kids went to sleep instantly but with smiles on their faces.  Then the grown-ups got to sit out on the porch and talk while listening to music and just enjoying the peace.  It was always a great end to each evening while we visited.

I will put our garden outing in another post due to the pictures (we took a lot), but I wanted to add AJ's "guy" time with Uncle Steve and Grandpa and Daddy on our last day.  The boys decided to go golfing while the girls did some shopping together.  It was AJ's first time to the putting green.

Uncle Steve and AJ discussing strategy maybe

Overall a great time - I think we have another golfer on our hands Daddy!

Our trip was fun - the kids were exhausted by the end due to the many late nights and crazy schedule, but they were troopers for the most part.  Everyone was read for some R&R after all the activities and graduation events, but I think we were happy that we managed to squeeze in lots of fun things in our short visit.  Hopefully we will see everyone again once baby Trace arrives :-)
